Are you an artist interested in joining the gallery?

 

The Artists’ Gallery has sixteen members who work in a variety of media. Functioning as a cooperative provides our artists an opportunity to grow and share enthusiastic encouragement to each other.

Members are allotted equal opportunities to display their work. Every other month the art is rotated and members are encouraged to display new work. Artists whose work can’t be hung (potters, jewelry, wood carvers, etc.) are displayed on pedastels or shelves. The Aesthetics Committee oversees arrangement of artwork within the gallery on an ongoing basis.

 

In addition to each artists allotted space, members are provided the opportunity of having a special exhibit. Gallery members also enjoy the benefit of exhibiting their work at locations outside the Gallery, such as satellite locations for the Olympia Arts Walk.

Application for Membership

New members are welcome, depending upon space available.

​

Application to The Artists’ Gallery Process:

​

1. Download the application and fill it out. Email your application Bill Koss at litespeedoo@hotmail.com with your resume and attach at least 5 examples of your work.

 

2. You will be contacted with a time to bring four or five examples of your work to the gallery for members to review. We ask that you leave your work for three days for member viewing. 

​

3. Members will then vote, if a majority of our members vote yes, you will be invited to interview with our members. A second vote is then taken by membership. You will be contacted within a day with the outcome.

 

New members must be willing and able to accept the conditions of membership.

Members are required to work at the Gallery equally to provide for the sale of art and to maintain the Gallery.  Additional obligations include attending orientation, attending monthly business meetings, and helping with special functions and maintenance of the gallery.
