Ceramics
I am obsessed with clay and awed at what some imagination, technique and beautiful glaze can produce. I am driven by having my ceramic art pieces prized in beautiful homes, whether it is a bold statement meant to create conversation or a subdued piece that blends seamlessly in a minimalist's home. It is a passion that ignites purpose and motivation. The cool thing about ceramics is that it can last hundreds of years. It is my aspiration to create art that is cherished and passed down generations. Each piece is hand-thrown on the wheel, trimmed, textured and brushed glaze making each piece unique and distinctive.

More About Julie
My first experience with throwing clay was in high-school, and I was hooked. I found the circular movement of the wheel mesmerizing and amazed at what I could create. I knew then that someday I wanted to be a potter. On occasion I would have the opportunity to play on the pottery wheel at a studio or community college, but I was mostly busy in my career as a Software Engineer/Program Manager and raising my two daughters with my husband. That dream finally turned into reality, and I have my own pottery studio and kiln. I love making pottery and would love to make you something special for your home.
When I am not obsessing over pottery, I love being active with my husband. I enjoy doing watersports on the lake, hiking, playing tennis (trying), ping-pong, playing games with family and friends, and snuggling with my two Bengal cats.
