Working with wood is something I have been doing all my life, always enjoying the warmth of wood and its variety of colors and textures in the grain. I started woodturning over twenty years ago, as another way to discover and reveal those qualities of the wood. Whether for display or to be put to work, I expect all my pieces to be handled, so that the warmth and lightness of the wood can be appreciated. As an optometrist, I have interest in color vision, which has led me to experiment with colored dyes on some of the pieces.
